Section control in spraying
The sprayer boom is divided into sections, each with its own valve. Section control opens and closes each section according to the machine's position, so no spot is sprayed twice and nothing is applied outside the area.
How it works
Through the GNSS antenna, the on-board computer knows where the boom has already been. When a section reaches an area already sprayed, or leaves the field, it closes; back on new ground, it opens.
The operator no longer switches sections on and off by hand at headlands, field edges and turns. The more sections the boom has, the finer the shut-off and the less overlap.
Section control and rate control
Section control decides where to apply; rate control decides how much. The isoBox Sprayer ECU does both: it adjusts flow and pressure in real time to hold the rate and automatically switches off up to 12 outputs (2-wire) or 18 outputs (3-wire).
Who handles control in the Agres line
isoBox Sprayer
ISOBUS ECU for sprayers: flow, pressure and automatic shut-off of up to 18 sections, with reading of the implement's sensors.
See the ECUsisoBox Orchard
ISOBUS ECU for orchards: flow, pressure and sections to suit the implement, reading ultrasonic sensors if fitted.
See the ECUsisoView
Agres on-board computer with built-in spraying: it handles application control without the need for an external ECU.

What section control needs
- An on-board computer with application control: an agroNave with an ISOBUS ECU, or the isoView, which already has spraying built in.
- A GNSS antenna with the accuracy the operation needs.
- Section valves on the boom: Tecomec control units come with section valves and serve booms with 2 to 7 sections.
